The Public Knowledge Project (PKP) (Juan Pablo Alperin, Simon Fraser University) is developing the Paperbuzz tool, in collaboration with Impactstory. Paperbuzz uses the Crossref Event Data service to measure the visibility of scientific articles based on social media data. A free and open API will be created and integrated to the Érudit platform, allowing to display all the social media mentions (mainly Twitter, but also Facebook and other minor sources) of its articles in real time.
